Britain at Work, Voices from the Workplace 1945-95 is a nationwide oral history programme set up by historians, social scientists, community history groups and librarians of labour history collections. Led by the TUC Library Collections at London Metropolitan University, it aims to collect memories of the working lives of men and women 1945- 95. This includes accounts of their work and their trade union activities. It will act as an umbrella for an increasing number of local, regional or sectoral oral history projects.
The CPD in Union Learning which has been running in Leeds at unionlearn completes in December 2011.

In partnership with universities in Italy, Greece, Germany, Bulgaria, Spain and Turkey, WLRI has successfully won ERASMUS funding for a Summer School on Global Health and Migration which will take place in July 2011.
The WLRI is the UK partner in a new five-country year-long project starting in January 2011 that is led by the French National Agency for Improving Working Conditions (ANACT) to investigate the 'social regulation between contractors and subcontractors in the industrial sector during restructuring'.
