On June 28th 2004, the Working Lives Research Institute hosted the launch of Tim Strangleman's much anticipated book, Work Identity at the End of the Line? Privatisation and Culture Change in the UK Rail Industry. The event was very well attended with an audience of over 100 guests including rail industry workers, trade union representatives and academics. The institute was pleased to invite Christian Wolmar, rail industry journalist and author of Broken Rails who gave an excellent introduction to book.
