The talk will be on the subjects of offending behaviour, criminology, immigration, mulitculturalism (especially among the young and dispriviliged in a youth offenders' institution in London). It will also discuss the future of new Single Equalities legislation, due to be passed as law this year, including the way it affects employment law, worker's rights and the general issues around social cohesion in today's Britain.
Born in Warsaw, raised in London, Marek manages diversity delivery in a young offenders' institute. He also writes, makes films and runs OFF_Magazine, a bi-lingual literary journal and press. Joint winner of 2007 Penguin Decibel prize for non-fiction and sole recipient of the 2005 Bike Magazine Philosopher of the Year Award. (www.mjkazmierski.org)
