Professor John Kirk died on November 3 aged 53 after a long battle against a brain tumour. His keen intellect, socialist commitment and personal warmth are deeply missed. A meeting on ‘Class and Identity in Today’s Europe’ is taking place in his memory on Thursday March 31 at 5pm at the Women’s Library, London Metropolitan University, 25 Old Castle Street London E1 7NT, followed by a book launch of his latest joint-authored book, ‘Work and Identity’. Acas has just published a research paper prepared by an EU DG Employment funded project on European trends in individual and collective conflict conciliation. The project was coordinated by the WLRI who also carried out the research in the UK and in France. Read more here.
