European Social Observatory launched with WLRI support

The European Observatory was launched by the European sectoral social partners for the temporary agency work (TAW) sector to provide analysis on the cross border movement for workers and companies in TAW sector, with a special focus on the impact of the implementation of the Posting of Workers and Temporary Agency Work directives.

It is seen as an innovative and concrete European tool, which will be steered by an expert group of members of Eurociett, UNI europa and researchers working in this field. Nick Clark, for WLRI, wrote ‘A Survey of social partners in Member States’, which seeks to examine the extent and form of cross border temporary agency working within the EU. It provides an analysis of a questionnaire survey conducted amongst members of the social partners for this sector - UNI-Europa and Eurociett.

UNI is the Global Union for skills and services. You can download all the European Observatory reports and documents from their website here.
