Working Lives Research Institute
The Nuffield Foundation have awarded WLRI a grant to carry out research with the self-organised migrant domestic workers' group Justice 4 Domestic Workers. WLRI's Nick Clark, working with Leena Kumarappan will be comparing what employers tell the UK Borders Agency about domestic workers' pay and conditions in visa applications with what workers report actually receiving. They will also be finding out the domestic workers' views on the various potential means of enforcing their employment rights.
The report will come out in early 2011.
