Project Summary

PEC’s brings together researchers from France, Hungary, Italy, Spain and the UK to develop a means of acknowledging the competences acquired by leading trade unionists. The central aim of the project is to produce a ‘trade union passport’ that can assist the professional mobility of activists throughout the European Community by establishing a means of recognising and validating acquired achievements, titles, diplomas and training programmes. The project will be delivered in three main phases. First, the level and coverage of any existing national schemes will be assessed, secondly, the passport will be developed and disseminated, and finally a procedure to enable trade unionists to use the system will be introduced.
