Project Summary

The RCN has commissioned a piece of research that aims to explore UK trained Black and Minority Ethnic as well as Internationally recruited nurse’s day-to-day experiences of employment in the UK health care sector. This project aims to illustrate findings from the RCN members’ survey with real life experiences drawn from in-depth interviews and a focus group with members of these two sub-groups of nurses.

Fieldwork was carried out throughout the summer of 2006 and the final report is expected by the end of the year.
