Project Summary
To examine the disadvantages that some employees may experience in terms of recruitment, promotion or advancement because of their age, religion or belief or sexual orientation, and the policies that selected organisations put in place to counter these disadvantages and to promote integration within the workplace.
Methodology
• Desk research of existing employer guidance documents designed to facilitate integration within the workplace
• Case study research in 8 selected public, private and voluntary sector organisations in England, Scotland and Wales.
• Interviews/focus groups with 5-10 managers, trade union/staff network representatives and employees in each case study organisation.
