A unique opportunity for managers, trade unionists, employers’ organisations, researchers and all interested in the management of demographic change to come and debate the key issues.
The conference included presentations of innovative practices based on findings related to case study work in four European countries and across eleven employment sectors. It covered a number of vital questions about delivering good practice across Europe:
- What are the key components of an innovative code of best practice on workforce ageing?
- To what extent can best practice guidelines be generalised across European countries?
- How do approaches to SMEs compare with approaches to larger organisations?
- What mechanisms are there for implementing best practice across Europe?
- How can caring responsibilities be taken seriously?
- Can age profiling and effective appraisal systems be implemented across Europe?
- How can national and international interaction between organisations be developed?
