Research Interests and Expertise

Anna’s main research expertise includes ethnicity and nationalism, regionalism, minorities, migration and diasporas, ethnic and civic identity formation, disadvantage and social exclusion. Her doctoral work concentrated on regional policy, local governement and ethnic minorities in the EU with a case study covering the Muslim Minority in Greece.

Other research interests: European Union and European identity, Balkan history and minorities, modern Greece

 

Background/Career

Anna has worked in a number of EU, GLA and other government funded projects both as Researcher and Research co-ordinator.
