Background/Career
After completing her degree in Biology at the University of Sciences and Technology Houari Boumediène (USTHB), she worked as a Personal Assistant in a construction company (SOMAM), in Algeria. After moving to London, she started her working life as a supervisor and volunteered as an administrative assistant, she then worked as a receptionist in Central Foundation Girl’s School. She joined the Working Lives Research Institute in April 2005 and worked as an assistant Administrator provided administrative support to the department and researchers. In October 2008, Sonia moved to the Institute’s finance department where she became a Finance Officer. A principal aspect of her role is to ensure that purchase orders and supplier invoices are processed in accordance with the University’s financial regulations.
