I began my working career volunteering for charities and support groups, often working with vulnerable, distressed or isolated people. I have worked within the Voluntary and Educational sector for several years, including as an I.T tutor for a homeless drop in centre in Central London and as an Administrative Supervisor with the Citizens Advice Bureau.
Working for charities in the past has raised my awareness of and interest in multiple-discrimination and how it affects people’s everyday lives. I have worked as a front line staff member with the homeless, survivors of violence, refugees and Black and Ethnic minorities and those who belong to multiple groups.
