Senior Lecturer
Aidan graduated from Trinity College in 1990. He then began to work in the Hotel Industry where he held a number of management positions in both Irish and U.K. chains.
In 1995, he moved into Hotel and Catering executive recruitment. Based in the City of London, he ran both temporary and permanent recruitment cost centres.
On completing his M.A in 2000, Aidan spent 2 years as a visiting lecturer in a number of universities and colleges.
In 2002 he became a full-time member of the academic staff at the London Guildhall University, specialising in H.R.M and Diversity studies. In 2003, he became a senior lecturer with the same institution (now the London Metropolitan University) with increasing involvement in postgraduate teaching provision. His teaching focuses on Managing Diversity, Employee Relations, Research Methods and Reward management.
Aidan works in the Management and Professional Development Department and
is an Associate member of the Working Lives Research Institute.
Aidan’s research interests centre on organisation and employment studies.
His M.A dissertation focused on the issue of organisation sexuality and the workplace experiences of Gay and Lesbian employees.
His main interests continue to revolve around the management of diversity and equality within organisations with particular focus on the issue of sexual orientation.
Aidan also has a research interest in issues of employee involvement and
participation in the modern organisation.
