What is taught?

Ways of Learning


This module introduces students to the broad principles and theories of adult learning. In addition to exploring key educational concepts the module also relates theory to the practice of ULRs and encourages them to reflect on their own learning in addition to understanding the learning of others.


This Module:

  1. Helps students to explore how, why,where and when adults learn most effectively

  2. Introduces ULRs to the barriers and motivations experienced by adult learners

  3. Explores how ULRs can encourage people to learn.
